New Release and Giveaway: Hot-Blooded: An Ohana Novel (Volume 1) by Kendall Grey

GOOD MORNNING AND HAPPY RELEASE DAY KENDALL GREY!!!!!

Ohana is everything… When an accident claims her mother’s life, Keahilani Alana must take charge of her `ohana (family) or risk losing what little they have. With an underage brother to care for and no education, she has few options. The door to a heavenly hellish opportunity opens when she stumbles upon a valuable secret her mother left behind on the slopes of an extinct volcano—a legacy that tempts the family with riches beyond their wildest dreams. But the secret is much bigger and more sinister than they realize. As reality unravels and exposes eerie truths about the ‘ohana that should have remained deep under the mountain, Keahilani must either resist the call of her blood or risk being consumed by its darkness. Blake Murphy is an assassin working to infiltrate a new Hawaiian cartel. His investigation reveals that Keahilani, the sexy surfing instructor he pegged as an informant, is much closer to the drug ring than he thought. Passion ignites between them in the bedroom, but their ironclad ties to opposing interests pit them against each other everywhere else. When tensions reach the breaking point and her ‘ohana is threatened, the only cure for Keahilani’s hot-blooded fury is a loaded clip with a body bag chaser. They don’t call her Pele for nothing. WARNING: Hot-Blooded does NOT end with a happily ever after. It contains drug use and graphic sex, language, and violence. The story is intended to entertain, not to condone or glorify illegal or immoral activities. This book is unsuitable for sensitive readers and those under the age of 18.

Hot-Blooded: An Ohana Novel by Kendall Grey

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Riveting!

That’s the word that plays over and over in my mind when I try to put this book into words.

I won an ARC and decided to start late yesterday. Well…I could not put it down. I finished last night, I slept on it because I’m afraid I cannot do justice how I felt about this book. I have a book hangover that’s for sure.

Kendal Grey’s writing voice is truly a gift. From the moment I started I was sucked in. I enjoyed the simultaneous stories, the journey, the wild ride, AND amazing how it all collided.

Pele was a kick ass, hard ass, take no prisoners kind of gal and just when you thought she might soften…BOOM. I’m not a spoiler gal….so suffice to say. If you want dark, sometimes violent, sometimes scratch your head…OH NO SHE DIDN’T ride of your life. YOU must read. OHANA/Family….AND what a family.

Again I will go back to the word riveted…I was glued, memorized by the tale that Kendal weaved. When an author makes you FEEL, well then in my opinion they have done there job. Whether you love or hate a character the fact that you FELT means mission accomplished!

Well done Kendal Grey…I can’t wait for the next book…I’m looking forward to another wild ass ride!

Please help me welcome and congratulate Kendall Grey.  As you can see from my review, I really enjoyed this book.  AND I am in awe of this authors talent.

I have been trying to get on the blog and give shout outs to the great books that I have had the pleasure of reading.  In honor of Hot-Blooded releasing, we will be giving away an e-copy to a lucky winner.  Leave a comment…tell me have you ever read Kendall?  Do you have a FAVE?  OR are you a newbie and would like to take a walk on the wild side?

I am off on vaca on Tuesday morning with my family.  I will have my great friend Cindy pick a winner sometime on Wednesday.  I will gift it when I am home from Disney 7/22.

THANKS for popping over and checking us out.

HAVE A KICK ASS MONDAY!!!

OHANA IS EVERYTHING

❤ Maureen
